On 12/31/98 a friend and I were
discussing the different versions of "Astronomy", the original
Blue Oyster Cult versions and the newly released Metallica version. That
discussion led me to post three versions of "Astronomy" to the
Web so that other BOC fans could enjoy listening to the three versions
themselves -- not to mention, this post could allow some of those
Metallica fans to hear the orginal band play "Astronomy". See

Within a couple of days (literally),
the page became fairly popular among BOC fans and Metallica fans alike.
I've had several requests to post more BOC songs from Imaginos. Imaginos
is out of print in the US, and many old and new BOC fans have never
heard this monumental recording. Being that Imaginos is out of print,
I'll respect the requests and post a few MP3s from the Imaginos album.
If there is interest in more
MP3s from Imaginos (and my time allows), I'll post more. However, I do
recommend that you track down the CD for yourself. The import market is
rich with BOC releases that are not available in the US. One of the best
import dealers on the net is Music
Imports (www.seamless-uk.info).
An import from Holland is currently available for $22.95. I suggest you
order it. You'll also find other BOC recording not available in the US.
