Gotham Hall to Rave Reviews
New York, NY October 1, 2002 The newest bright light on
Broadway made its debut today and it shined like a beacon,
illuminating the great white way. Gotham Hall, located on the
corner of Broadway and 36th Street, is setting the new standard
for elegant events in New York.

Located in a landmark former bank, where marble floors and
limestone pillars greet you upon arrival, The Gotham is a
monument to style. Once inside, the experience can best be
described as awe-inspiring. Its interior boasts a one hundred
twenty-foot ceiling, a gilded chandelier and a three hundred-foot
stained glass skylight, reminiscent of the Art Nouveau. The
ballroom can accommodate anywhere from fifty to several hundred
guests. There is also a mezzanine that overlooks the grand
ballroom, which is an ideal venue for cocktail hour. Gotham Hall
is perfect for corporate meetings with its unique, wood lined,
private rooms, complete with working fireplaces. The latest
audiovisual equipment, teleconferencing and high speed Internet
access is available. Private rooms can comfortably host anywhere
from two to two hundred people.
This landmark building is the former headquarters of the Greenwich
Savings Bank, built in 1922 by Edward Palmer York and Philip
Sawyer. This structure is considered one of the finest examples of
classic architecture in the city and is sure to become the crown
jewel for elegant event hosting in New York.
