PickPoint Awarded Alaskan Indian Health Services Contract

Will be the sole prescription automation in remote clinics throughout Southcentral Alaska

Pleasanton, CA - January 22, 2004 - PickPoint Corporation, the leader in affordable Pharmaceutical Dispensing automation, announced the award of a contract from Southcentral Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to administering to the healthcare needs of Alaska’s Native population. PickPoint will be the sole provider of automation to control the dispensing of prescriptions in remote clinics throughout Southcentral Alaska. This contract was awarded after a nine-month head-to-head test between PickPoint and AutoMed, a wholly owned subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen.

Under this Alaskan rural remote dispensing program, PickPoint’s FlexRx™ systems will continue to be installed in remote native villages throughout Alaska, including the Aleutian and Priolof Islands. Southcentral Foundation provides pharmaceutical care services to approximately 40 Rural clinics, spanning 125,000 miles that served over 360,000 patient visits in 2002.
